Best Places to work Best Place to Work in IT Awards 2008

The Coal Authority has been short listed in the category of  'Central Government' in the  Computer Weekly Best Places to Work in IT Awards 2008 .

The competition is in its fifth successful year and aims to find the UK's best-managed IT departments.  The competition looks for IT departments that offer an unparalleled quality of commitment and innovation in their efforts to provide stimulating, enjoyable and productive workplaces for IT professionals.  The Authority was delighted to win the 'Public Services and Non-Profit Sectors' category in 2007.

The Authority is competing against the Audit Commission, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and the Scottish Government in this year's competition. (www.ComputerWeekly.com/bestplacestowork)

The winning entry will be announced at the Awards lunch on Friday 22nd February 2008 at the InterContinental Hotel, Park Lane, London.
