by Leslie Rendelf, Chairman of the Coal Authority Environment Group

reed 7 A central environmental issue for years to come will be how to combine industrial development with respect for the environment.
leslie rendelf In an extractive industry producing coal and gas, which are non-renewable resources, it is important that great care is taken to ensure that the sustainability balance sheet includes positive contributions, which demonstrate good faith, and counter balance those negative issues which are frequently publicised. reed 2
