The Coal Authority are considering marketing the Drym Deep land holding which is situated south of Onllwyn, between the villages of Tynewydd and Banwen, Neath Port Talbot.
Parts of the Drym Deep land holding may have potential for opencast coal mining subject to all necessary permissions, statutory licences and consents being obtained.
The sale of the land holding comprises surface land extending to about 248 hectares, (613 acres).
The Authority is seeking expressions of interest in the proposed disposal. Interested parties may as part of their expression of interest submit a copy of the plan attached to this notice outlining broadly their specific interest area. This may assist the Authority in finalising a lotting strategy.
