Notice Inviting Expressions of Interest in relation to Rights and Interests in Land and Coal

The Coal Authority are considering marketing the Auldton Heights land holding which is situated near Lagmahagow, Lanarkshire.

Parts of the Auldton Heights land holding may have potential for opencast coal mining subject to all necessary permissions, statutory licences and consents being obtained.

The sale of the land holding comprises surface land extending to about 157.48 hectares, (389.13 acres). The attached plan shows the land holding.

The Authority is seeking expressions of interest in the proposed disposal.

  • Expressions of interest are invited for all of the surface land with or without proposals relating to any available underlying coal deposits
  • Closing date for offers: 19th October 2001.
