Notice Inviting Expressions of Interest in relation to Rights and Interests in Land and Coal

The Coal Authority is marketing the Windmill Hill land holding which is situated near Ellington, Morpeth, Northumberland.

Parts of the Windmill Hill land holding may have potential for opencast coal mining subject to all necessary permissions, statutory licences and consents being obtained.

The sale of the land holding comprises surface land extending to about 218.00 hectares, (538.7 acres). The attached plan shows the land holding identifying Lot 1 and Lot 2.

The Authority is seeking expressions of interest in the proposed disposal.

• Expressions of interest are invited for Lot 1 and/or Lot 2 with or without proposals relating to any available underlying coal deposits. Offers will be by Form of Tender.

• Closing date for offers: 19^th October 2001.
