Malcolm Edwards' Early Retirement

Following a reorganisation of the Coal Authority's internal management structure, Malcolm Edwards has decided to take early retirement in order to pursue new challenges and opportunities elsewhere.

Dr. Ian Roxburgh, Chief Executive, has issued the following statement:

"Malcolm's contribution to the Coal Authority has been enormous, ranging from putting its financial controls on a proper footing to acting as midwife and guardian to the MRSDS unit. He has brought a high degree of professionalism and integrity to everything he has undertaken and has our thanks for both the breadth and effectiveness of his contribution."

The finance function within the Coal Authority is now the responsibility of David Lumley, who takes up the position of Finance Manager with immediate effect.
