Dr. Ian Roxburgh, Chief Executive, is pleased to announce that Ian Wilson has been appointed to the position of Director of Mining Projects and Property, with immediate effect.
Ian has been with the Coal Authority since October 1994, and was previously Operations Manager (Central), a position which he had held since 1999.
He held a number of posts within British Coal in colliery surveying before specialising in mining subsidence engineering and held the post as Assistant Chief Surveyor of British Coal until joining the Coal Authority as a Licensing Manager.
Ian is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
