Salary range £29,835 to £40,174

The Estates Team is responsible for managing the Authority’s property portfolio and for acquiring sites for the delivery of a prioritised programme to construct new minewater treatment facilities. The Authority's estate is diverse and consists of operational and non-operational property.
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Estates you will be required to
- Acquire land and property for Minewater treatment schemes
- Negotiate clawback payments and releases of restrictive covenants
- Carry out valuations for a wide range of purposes including acquisitions, disposals, rating & asset valuations
- General Estates management duties
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a corporate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
- Have a demonstrable track record in acquisitions and disposals of Property
- Have experience of working on Compulsory Purchase Schemes.
- Have experience of negotiating release of restrictive covenants and clawback provisions.
- Have excellent communication skills together with the ability to work to tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Be a strong team player.
Although the Authority is based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, its activities extend across the coalfield areas of England, Scotland and Wales, therefore the ability to travel is essential.
