Vacancy: Construction, Design and Management Co-ordinator

Salary range to £40,000 plus Performance Bonus, Civil Service Pension Options, Generous Holidays, Flexitime and Subsidised Gym Membership

The Coal Authority is looking for an experienced CDM Co-ordinator.  Reporting to the Head of Licensing and Permissions you will be responsible for delivery of CDM Co-ordinator services across the organisation.

The role will be varied, challenging and rewarding for an enthusiastic, self motivated person who can undertake the full range of CDM Co-ordinator services together with providing advice, guidance and training. You must have good interpersonal skills and suitable experience of working as CDM Co-ordinator along with a good understanding of SHE management systems.

You will work with managers and staff to advise and guide them on securing compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 ensuring a safe and healthy working environment and culture developing, implementing, and reviewing CDM policies and procedures.  Additionally, within this role you will undertake site risk assessments, inspections, audits, accident investigations across civil engineering schemes and contractor activities.

Candidates will ideally be qualified to degree level in a construction related subject together with NEBOSH Diploma level and be a Chartered Member of IOSH.  Experience in the role of CDM Co-ordinator is essential, involvement in the design of construction projects would be advantageous. 

The position is based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and there will be a requirement for significant travel to various locations throughout the UK, therefore a clean driving licence is essential.
