The Coal Authority Estates department is responsible for structural precautions covenants and historic enquiries relating to the investigation into land ownership

  • Historic Enquiries:
    Historic enquiries relating to investigations into the ownership of land that may have been owned by the former National Coal Board/British Coal Corporation.


  • Structural Precautions Covenant:
    Structural precautions covenants relate to the approval of plans and specifications required in accordance with the provisions of covenants in favour of the National Coal Board and British Coal Corporation imposed for the express or implicit purpose of minimising damage caused by subsidence.
